Hello Jason, Thank you for your interesting insight. The stigma attached to stuttering is very detrimental for people who stutter, in all areas of life. One of the topics of our discussion in the class was clutural influences on emotions. In a nutshell, some emotion-generating stimuli are universal, or the emotional responses are similar across various cultures. However, some emotion-arousing experiences are culturally different. For example, appraisal of emotions, regulation of emotions, and expressing emotions. We can't always have extreme positions about universality of emotions. On the other hand, some emotions may be culturally different. Isabella Reichel
