I am a graduate student at Stephen F. Austin State Universtiy in Nacogdoches, TX. I am taking a fluency course and one of our projects is to read 5 articles, post comments/questions, and write a reflection paper. I am so thankful that I read your article. I know that it relates to your experiences with stuttering. I really like how you could take a negative and find something positive to go along with it. However, I must admit when I read your article it felt like I was reading something that was decribing my father. He passed away at the end of July from lung cancer. He was the most "REAL" person that I knew. If it wasn't for him and his faith in me, I would not complete graduate school, because I have had such a difficult time with losing him. However, he was my one real friend and he would want me to finish and make a difference in this world. Your story touched my heart. I am sure you are a wonderful friend, husband, and father. When I graduate, I will use the paper as a handout for my clients. Thank you.
