Thank you so much, David, for sharing that incredibly inspirational writing. It is SO important to remember that "being real" is the most wonderful gift that each of us can have, and I realize how I have a chance during every conversation that I have to "be real" with the person I'm communicating with. To NOT avoid saying anything I feel is a primary goal for me (unless the content is inappropriate, of course!! ). Specifically, I mean this: to say what I want to say, speaking from my heart, whether or not I'm afraid that I will stutter on a particular sound or word. It is such a basic, simple concept, yet for me, it is something I struggle with still, on a daily basis, even though I have "come so far" in accepting my stuttering as simply being a part of me, and not the entirety of WHO I am. I hope this makes at least a little bit of sense. I thank you again for sharing this beautiful and important writing!
