Thank you very much for this article. As a new clinician, I have found that the counseling aspects of the profession are some of the most difficult for me. I find it difficult at times to ask questions that I think might make the client uncomfortable or that might lead to an emotional response. I really like your question suggestions because they seem to be questions that I would be comfortable asking that would help me gain some insight into the client's perspectives on therapy and their speech, which are crucial to understand when determining what can be done to help them make lasting changes in their speech. These types of questions can also help to strengthen the relationship between the client and clinician, which, as you pointed out, is a crucial aspect of successful therapy.
