All that we can do to make that happen should be Job #1. Keeping in mind that we are working with people first, not just their behavior, helps us do that. New speech behaviors and communication styles feel awkward until we practice and use them enough so that they become assimilated into our over-all approach to life. If, even, with dedicated practice, they do not seem to feel right for us, then we need to reconsider whether or not some other strategy may be more helpful.
