[[" . . .I have believed for a long time how situations from our childhood affect us, but I never viewed it as our child interpretations that affect us. That idea is very profound to me and makes alot of sense. . . "]] >>> Yes, it can be quite startling to realize that in our 20's, 30's, 40's, and beyond we may be living by seeing ourselves, others, and our place in the world much as we did when we were 3, 5, 7, or 10 years old. But most of us, despite being adults, possibly college educated, and, even, professionals, live that very way. If we want to be grown-up, we need to learn to see ourselves as we truly are, to recognize others for who they truly are, and to see the world as it actually is, not as we fancy it to be. This may sound grim, but some would say that is the path to enlightenment. The contrary is what is grim. >>> Thanks for sharing what was meaningful to you. Best, Ellen-Marie Silverman
