When I read your article about change, it opened my eyes to perspectives I have not thought about in the field of Speech-Language Pathology. I am currently a graduate student in Wisconsin and am taking my first fluency class. I think that it is important to take the whole person into consideration when helping them with their communicative disorder. Even though we may feel it is in the best interest of the client to help them with their fluency disorder, we need to make sure it is what they want. I agree that changing how we talk and communicate can change our lives, as a future speech-language pathologist, I think that is important to remember when helping clients. Communication is a big part of our lives, when we are helping people with their communication we need to remember how much it can define who a person is. Thank you for providing me with a wealth of valuable information regarding change.
