Thanks for your kind words. Although it depends upon the individual child, in my experience it has been that these feelings of guilt, shame, etc are not often present, and often this may be due to lack of awareness. Where I would suspect one would see it the most on the spectrum would be in the higher functioning categories of High Functioning Autism and Asperger Syndrome. But in my clinical work with these higher functioning groups, I have seen feelings of guilt and shame regarding social issues, but not fluency.
