Julianna, If by associated behaviors you mean secondary behaviors of tension and struggle, I refer you to a posting just prior to yours and my response to Sharmila. I think in terms of determining whether such behaviors are related to the disfluencies and not to something else, you have to observe these behaviors and notice things such as whether the behaviors occur with the disfluency (as true secondary behaviors with, either directly before, during, or after), or in other contexts not associated with the fluency to help you figure this out.
