I think that this is a great technique to use for stuttering patients. It's good that they can deal with fear and any other negative emotions that they have which result from stuttering. They aren't just dealing with it alone, they are dealing with it among others who also stutter. They can help each other build self esteem and confidence. Fear and anxiety can increase one's stuttering and so it seems that if they are able to reduce fear and other unwanted emotions that fluency could improve. It's great that this can be incorporated and it gets the patients away from what they are use to doing in therapy.
