The implementation of drama-therapy in a rehabilitation program, I agree, can and should increase the client’s confidence/self-esteem. However, I was curious if this type of therapy would be successful with clients who are introverts, especially it being in a group therapy environment. Also, it appears this rehabilitation program has a set time-line during the 1-year treatment period. What if patients move at different paces, such as a client finishing all of the “verbal communication” tasks quickly and wanting to move on? Or, perhaps another client is extremely shy and has trouble with the first part of the process, does s/he progress, even though the first stage of therapy has not yet been mastered?
