Actually, a relaxed and well-known environment facilitates fluency; besides, in certain situations stuttering tends to disappear (e.g. when patients are singing). However, as for the play, participants are also helped by the fact that they have a script to follow , by the study of their own characters during the entire course and by the techniques learned in therapy.
