Actually, no. I think as Shapiro notes in his text that much of what we may perceive as a deficit is really a consequence of being a PWS. So, what I'm driving at is that if you are a person who knows that speaking fluently is not a strength for you, you probably avoid taking the risk of stuttering and so shorter, less complex utterances may be the strategy for you. Thus, I think we have to be careful making assumptions that these shorter, less complex utterances are the best an individual can produce. Does that make sense?
