I loved the point you made about your goal; (and what should be the goal of all clinicians in our field) that it is all about imporving your client's ability to communicate. We can't lose sight of the basis for doing what we are doing. It is our responsibility to be competent and ready to serve our clients, however that may be. I have yet to figure out why fluency is such a "scary" area for a number of SLPs. Fluency clients are so fascinating! In regards to the question you were asked...we can't be experts in every aspect of our field, but we can be competent and proactive in order to best serve those who need us. Thank you for sharing this meaningful article with us.
