Thanks for your comments! Well, given the very small number of folks with clinical specialty recognition if that were the only marker re: clinical abilities we would be in sad shape. Now that's not saying that I wouldn't like to earn specialty recognition but given the fact that I could never qualify for the application, given the small amount of time I have to see clients, it's not likely to happen. Maybe more to the point is that I am very upfront with clients about what I believe I can and cannot do and I'm not at all shy about asking my more experienced colleagues for input. And, that goes for tough language clients too!
