Great stuff. I've been investigating the relationship between Aspergers and stuttering in myself and others, and one big aspect of Aspergers is a obsessive tendency to want to control things, almost a perfectionism. Almost all my life I've told speech therapists that I'm a "lazy perfectionist", meaning I have high standards but don't tend to meet them very often. I'm now coming to understand that this may be a combination of obsessiveness (the "perfectionism") and attention deficits (the "laziness"). In particular the obsessiveness and attention deficits seem to be part of a larger set of deficits which compose Asperger Syndrome. Anyway I think CBT is a great approach. Just this last week I've been getting back into CBT after being prodded to do so by my therapist for self esteem around socialization. FYI if anyone has any interest in the relationship between Aspergers and Stuttering, I'm starting a mailing list to discuss: http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/AspergerStutter
