Hello Dr. Amster and Dr. Klein, thank you for allowing us to contact you with our questions. 1) The saying you mention in the beginning of your article had me wondering if your clients heard it from their parents because they might have been pecfectionists as well. 2)If so, were any emotions associated with difficult parents brought up in group sessions? Because my mother is a 100% perfectionist and her methods have influenced me and my style of life. 3) Finally, do you feel that perfectionist stutterers are more focused on the possibility that they will make any kind of error than focusing on how to be more fluent and controlling it?
