I am an undergraduate SLP student who is currently taking a course in stuttering and found your article to be very interesting. I noticed how you mentioned that children can have perfectionistic qualities as well as adults. Is there a reason why you only studied the connection between stuttering and perfectionism between adults? If it was detected early enough that a child shows tendencies toward being a perfectionist wouldn't it benefit them more to learn how to cope with stuttering at an earlier age?
