I am a first-year graduate student at UW-Stevens Point and I am currently taking my first course in fluency disorders. I think that your article has some great ideas and it seems that perfectionism may play a large role in stuttering. I hope that more research is done in this area because I believe that a consistent connection may be found. I may be interested in doing research in this area myself! I also wanted to add that I liked how you did not try to stop stuttering with CBT but that you helped the individuals feel better about their speech. To me, this is a much more realistic and important objective than "perfect" speech.
