Lindsay, Thank you for taking the time to read our article. Our program incorporated a brief CBT experience. It was beneficial for our study participants to learn that they had ‘core beliefs’ by which they (and generally all individuals) lead their lives. By reviewing 8 common cognitive distortions, which originate from one’s core beliefs, our participants were better able to apply their own perceptions to events that caused them distress in daily life. It was each participant’s own personal awareness that was heightened and that was extremely helpful. Evelyn
