Jessica Thank you for your interest in our research. I think that the tendency towards perfectionism may be due to a combination of many factors including the child’s personality and the external demand’s placed on the child by the parents. I do not think that perfectionism causes stuttering or that stuttering causes perfectionism. Best, Barbara
