A wonderful paper. I too never think of my stuttering as a gift, but I do think that my ability to communicate effectively, with a stutter, is a gift. I can communciate well, and happen to stutter, and it doesn't keep me from public speaking or putting myself out there. I can also relate with having well developed writing skills - I turned to writing as well when I believed I couldn't speak effectivley. Now that I no longer believe that, I have the pleasure of enjoying both gifts - writing and communicating well and effectively. Thank you for sharing such an honest paper with us.
