Hi Sue, Your article was interesting. It appears to comprehensively raise all the issues associated with diagnosis and treatment while reaffirming your long held view that fluency shaping is the treatment of choice. I realise you were restricted by the word limit and there is a lot more that you could have added. Could you answer the following questions for me. What exactly do you mean when you mention stuttering severity?, What are the techniques therapists should use/study in management of client anxiety? and Do you feel the existing science is limited because the evidence base does not differentiate clearly between stuttering as dysfluency AND stuttering as a disorder involving dysfluency, anxiety, habituated responses and distorted self-concepts?
