I like that you mention anxiety as playing a major role with PWS. As a soon to be certified SLP, we are taught a lot about ways to modify a person's speech. Although modifying speech of a PWS is the "meat" of what SLPs need to focus on, the feelings and emotions of PWS are just as equally important. Having said that, is there any advice you could give on ways of reducing anxiety of PWS? I assume some PWS may be receiving counseling from a psychologist outside of the therapy they receive. So as SLPs what can we do to help PWS overcome anxiety and negative feelings about speaking?
