That is a good query. It is an integral part of Lidcombe training that the clinician needs to watch the parent demonstrating what they are doing with the child at home, when they are there in the clinic. That way, the parents receive feedback about how they are doing certain aspects of the treatment - whether it be responding appropriately to fluent speech or stutering, rating severity of stuttering etc..
