Thanks Susan- for a comprehensive analysis of various facets, which Clinician need to know, while entering a therapeutic role vis-a-vis a PWS. Yes, stammering easily defeats the common notions of “disease” or “normalcy”. It doesn’t fit the traditional models of healing (“fixing”).. I would even say, that if a clinician fails make a headway, s/he should consider referral, not just to another SLP, trained in another school of approach- but should even consider a referral to spiritual healers if available. What would you say to that?
