Thank you Agata. If people are to manage anxiety during the process of learning to change their speech, we need to help them focus on the process they are learning - to intellectualise what they are doing as they concentrate on altering their motor co-ordination, rather than being distracted by their thoughts. We need to look at using positive and self-empowering self-talk etc. Information about the Camperdown Program and its naturalness training is available on the website of the Australian Stuttering Research Centre (www.usyd.edu.au/asrc)
