Hi Wendy, it probably depends what his reading ability is like. Maybe you could let him hear himself and see if he can change A LITTLE to make it sound more natural. If the starts are exaggerated, perhaps now that he can do them, he may not have to do them so deliberately? Then he may be able to concentrate on the flow of the words (or whatever your strategies are). Can he follow a model from you?
