What do you say to this quote from Jones, Onslow and Ann Packman's article "The randomized trial of the Lidcombe Program (Jones et al. 2005) showed that, at 9 months post-randomization, the Lidcombe Program is associated with significantly reduced levels of stuttering compared with a control group who received no formal treatment. However, the present study is unable to determine whether treatment with the Lidcombe Program is associated with a long-term beneficial effect compared with natural recovery. This is because the natural recovery rate of clinical populations of preschool stuttering children is unknown and because it was not possible to follow up the control group in sufficient numbers for a meaningful comparison."
