I agree that Speech-Language Pathologists need to treat each person as an individual and to treat them for what their needs are, rather than generalizing the treatment. But a good point stated in the article was just as the SLPs need to treat each person as an individual, those who stutter also need to be very clear about their wanted outcomes of treatment, so Speech-Language Pathologists can start individualizing the assessment and treatment from the beginning.
