Mr. Coleman, I am an Undergraduate student and it can be intimidating to think of functional ways to present the information we know to parents. I will definitely save the Bucket Analogy for future reference. I also found it helpful referring to Type I diabeties to further explain predisposition. I imagine parents can possess feelings of guilt at first and a thorough explanation would help elevate that. Are there any other approaches or analogies you find helpful when talking with parents?
