Hi Tom, great question. I think there are many things we intuitively know are related to predispositions, but don't know yet exactly what genetic markers they are related to. For example, I know every time I bite my lip, I will get a cold sore for a week. My 21-month old bit his lip last week and a day later had a cold sore, just like dad. On the other hand, I can eat all day and not gain a pound, like my dad and grandma. Gotta be the genetics, right? We just don't know what exact genetics. There's definitely more we need to know about predispositions, but I think it is worth the continued exploration.
