Thanks for the comments...A couple of things...There is no specific day that is "Bring A Friend to Speech Day." We choose a day whenever the CWS is ready. But, we also had a very special activity during May is Better Hearing and Speech Month...Speech Parties! Same concept, but with invitations, decorations, and treats. Speech kids got to practice the feeling of fluency control during relaxed, social situations. They also "showed off" their special speech skills! Regarding behavior...Yes,in the beginning, I had problems with some "guests" getting wild. But this is how I solved the problem...actually, prevented it: My child in therapy could only invite someone who 1. Was not a behavior problem in the classroom (check with teacher) and 2. Someone who was KIND. That is someone who would not make fun of others who are different.
