The changes in both the CWS and the classmate are remarkable. The child in tx becomes more self-confident about himself, his speaking ability, and his ability to socialize and educate. The buddy becomes quite proud that he was chosen and usually forms a closer bond with the CWS. The funny thing is, after word gets around the school about the activity, EVERYONE starts being extrs-nice to the child in tx so they, too, can be invited. So, the popularity of the CWS really goes up : )
