Crystal, I really enjoyed your article!! I have never heard of doing this before until reading this. It would be great for a child who stutters to have a close friend to support them inside and outside of the therapy room. The use of a “secret code” is a really neat idea too; that would be really useful for carrying over the therapy techniques used in the speech room. I think you have come up with a great idea; I will definitely remember this when I begin my career!
