Crystal, this is such a great idea and should probably be required in school settings. I am not a school based clinician but rather in private practice so usually when I see stuttering children its because something hasn't worked out for them in the school system. However, even for me as a nonschool clinician it seems that there's been a lot of talk which has walked all around what I believe is one of the biggest reasons that this activity is so popular. Not only does this put the stuttering child in his comfort zone but it also brings a friend in to that zone.
