I have learned many things about stuttering therapy and how to conduct your session. I did not know nor heard of a stuttering specialist. I believe that being specialized in stuttering is a great thing and from this reading being a stuttering specialist have changed the ending results for many therapy sessions. I really like the set up it seems as if it was a timeline and it all emerged from Van Riper, wanted to focus more on children. Van Riper educated Carl Dell and he became successful as a clinician. Nina Reardon-Reeves changed everything about stuttering and she is still making improvements to make sure therapy is a success.
