Hello Jennifer; Thank you for writing. I love that you are thinking ahead into your career. I personally feel that the SLP field will become more specialized in the future. Our scope of practice continues to widen and it becomes impossible to serve each disorder with expertise. In response to your second question, I have found that most specialists seem to gravitate toward the private sector (even though the schools are where it is at :)). Sincerely, Nina Reeves
