Hope: I must start by saying that I find therapists who don't feel comfortable treating stuttering in every therapy venue (private parctice, hospital rehab, schools, etc). It is not just the school therapist that has this feeling of lack of confidence. Having said that, I know that we are still expected to know how to treat stuttering, as other disorders, as we leave graduate school. So, I can't speak to the "plans" that may be made for specialists to train therapists in the schools. I can only speak to my situation and hope that by spreading the word that this is a truly effective concept, I can spark the imagination of others who may wish to pursue this in the future. On your second question, I can say that there are other "specialists" (though not board recognized) in school districts; usually for those communciation disorders that require a speciliazed knowledge (AAC, autism, etc). Good luck in your future! Nina Reeves
