Alan, Hello from across the pond. Ironically, Joe and I recently shared a client. I evaluated a young girl when her family lived in Philadelphia. Then the family moved to upstate New York and they started working with Joe. When I attended the St. Rose workshop in April, I met with the family and worked with their daughter. Throughout the weekend, we spent a great deal of time discussing her therapy, her progress and what the future might hold. Never did we discuss the fact that Joe stutters or that I don't. The only thing that they cared about was their daughter and her well being. To me, this was a sign that they trusted both of us, not because of our speech, but because they knew we were invested in their family.
