I thoroughly enjoyed this article. I have always wondered how a client (who stutters) feels receiving therapy services from someone who may not understand their perspective because they don't stutter themselves. I can definitely see how a fluent stuttering therapist could help ease a client's nerves. I am currently taking a class on stuttering and one of our assignments is a a "simulated stuttering project". Our professor is asking us to go out into the real word and "pseudostutter". I am looking forward to this assignment so that I can develop a better understanding of the everyday feelings of a PWS. Thank you for sharing your experiences!
