Hi Joe and Joe, Great article, you both gave thought provoking ideas for therapy. I especailly appreciated the idea to be active listeners. It takes time and practice to develop this important skill and I wish my grad program had offered more in counseling classes. Do you have some good counseling books that you recommend? I also liked the examples of how to deal with difficult questions, and how to think about what the real or underlying questions might be. One of the things I struggle with in stuttering therapy, (I am a speech therapist but I am not a person who stutters), is how to write objective counseling goals and how to measure progress. Do you have similar experiences and if so how do you deal with it? Thank you for your contributions to the conference, Julie
