Hi Fatemah. Thank you for your kind words. To me, it's about being in the moment with the client... it's never really about fluency or stuttering, and I think this is hard to get across in messages. If a client stops breathing while he is speaking, we problem solve how he can continue to breath while talking. If the client cannot get her voice going while talking, we problem solve the best way for her to get her voice going. If the client is terrified to stutter in certain situations, we would work on voluntary stuttering plus other factors that may lead to that fear. To answer the other part of your question, I am almost always fluent in the therapy room if I am demonstrating a fluency strategy... which reminds me how useless it is to be fluent in the therapy room while using a fluency enhancing strategy... all my best, Joe K.
