Hi Brittany, thanks for your question. I honestly think that I am neither too critical nor too undemanding. I simply view stuttering (and that includes non-speech aspects of stuttering) to be a problem. The client and clinician need to sit down, figure out what they want to work on, and tackle the most important aspect of it, whatever that may be for the particular client at that particular moment. If whatever we are working on is not working, we then have to talk about that, change our strategy, and go from there. There are no shoulds, there is no pity party. Let's work on it.
