Sachin, that's a great point. But I have to agree with Joe D. here. I think comparing stuttering to a disease of some kind has it's pitfalls. What we are really talking about with stuttering that it is something that a person is struggling with and wishes to change in a way that brings them greater freedom and peace. Because of that, there are many issues that come to mind, and not just stuttering. If someone understands what it is like to struggle, and how difficult it can be to change, that person brings with them much understanding of what it is like to stutter, whether or not they stutter.
