Vicky, I think that the pseudo stuttering assignment and one where graduate students need to use techniques in real-life situations is a good way to teach about the difficulty of taking a risk and trying to do something different. While it can never teach what it is like to be a pws, it does help to increase a clinician's understanding of the inherent difficulty involved in modifying one's speech.
