Stef. From your insightful comments, I am betting that you are a wonderfully skilled SLP. Woody Starkweather always taught that the best way to deal with resistance is to simple acknowledge it. Too often we push back because the resistance makes us defensive. Unfortunately, this can cause us to miss the underlying point or issue which the resistance is stemming from. Remember that therapy is about the client and not about the clinician.
