This article was very interesting. I believe that both stuttering clinicians and non-stuttering clinicians can be effective clinicians. I would agree that all clinicians should have the skills to be understanding of their clients and show them unconditional positive regard. I think having a clinician that also stutters creates a unique opportunity for the client and clinician to relate to one another. I also think that the clinician who doesn’t stutter can still be understanding to the client and how they may feel.
