I think this a great article, because you don't have to go through what your client goes through to feel empathy or to be a good clinician. I think it is good to set boundaries and realize when it is a good time to share personal information. I think it is great that both Joes wanted to be therapists. Just because one stutters doesn't mean he isn't competent enough to do his job.
