Hi Jodie, as far as I know, I have only had one parent who did not choose to work with me because I stutter. But I have also had parents call me because they were looking for a really good female therapist for their daughter... so they didn't choose me because I was male... and both of those are okay. I have gotten questions about my own stuttering, and the vast majority of the time, parents really get it, that it's not about my speech, it's about my abilities to help my client's speech...
